I’m Zac, the woodworker behind Runes & Roots. Here in rural Scotland, I hand-carve wooden staffs and walking sticks inspired by mythology, folklore and the natural world.
Scottish wood brings its own grain and character. I work with that individuality, adding flowing knotwork and detailed symbols to create pieces with a story of their own.
